Flame sat silently off to the side, out of the way as she normally does, tail curled neatly over her paws while she watched Dr. Nefarious work. Could she read what was on the screens in front of her? ...No. Honestly, there were too many written languages for her to learn in this universe. But that didn't stop her from watching. It was almost relaxing in a way for her.

After a few more moments of silence from Flame, the feline thumps her tail on the floor a few times. A gentle reminder that she's there and a sign she's about to speak.

"Mind cluing me in on what you're planning here?" Flame finally asks, breaking her silence. "I might be able to offer some help, depending on what it is." The feline offers, not that Flame thinks he needs her help, but rather because she wants to help him.

I think it's exceedingly funny that Miryin can be the most normal dude ever because it mimics behaviors and cognition soooo well just from simple observation and that was my original plan with introducing it to the blog. It's supposed to be the whole 'regular guy slowly devolves into creepy-crawly-cosmic-horror that is extremely not mentally sound'. But in every thread minus one w/ Emi it's like the least normal guy ever. Just out the gate weirdest existentialist globby goo. My brain's spaghetti.

also on an unrelated note, i was thinking about adding another section to my carrd with links to important headcanons / basic information? how his body works / what he gets up to / how conventionally puppet-like is this puppet / etc. it wouldn't be required reading in the slightest, but i just thought it might make interactions easier to hop into. 👉👈

Honestly, maybe Zenkichi’s getting too old. His head still spins whenever he thinks about everything that’s happened to him in the last few months - meeting the Phantom Thieves, learning about supernatural worlds and talking cats, awakening to his own Persona, and even taking down a god... Yeah. Often, he still can’t help but wonder if he’s just having the world’s longest dream.

But he’s glad for it. All of it. Because it’s because of all that that he was finally able to face himself, and realize how much he’d lost his way. And the ones he has to thank for that... are the Phantom Thieves, and especially one Akira Kurusu.

Even now, he still doesn’t feel like he deserves Akira’s trust. He’s read all about what happened to Akira after he was arrested, and honestly? It’s a miracle the kid’s still sane. It pisses Zenkichi off, knowing everything that happened, and knowing that he couldn’t do anything about it. But even if he had known, would he have stepped in? ...The fact that he doesn’t like the answer to that question fills Zenkichi with a deep sense of shame.

“You know, I’m thinking about quitting the force.” ...Even Zenkichi’s surprised by his own abruptness as he cuts through the silence of the conversation he’d been having with Akira. Immediately, he wants to kick himself. What had possessed him to bring that up? That’s probably the last thing the kid wants to think about right now...

“...Uh, sorry. Not the most cheery conversation topic, there. It’s just... something I’ve been thinking about, lately.”

gloria and hop into their late 20s/early 30s

my kinda sorta timeline’s gloria’s champion from age 14 to 26, loses her title in a match (instead of giving up the title like peony or mustard), then stays a professional trainer with a schedule at the battle tower. hop returns to casual training alongside his academic work near the end of gloria’s champion run, then becomes the professor that gives out dynamax bands.
